Reframing a Legacy Institution for a New Era

The Institute for Humane Studies had deep credibility and decades of impact, but its brand and digital presence no longer reflected the scale or urgency of its mission. We partnered with leadership to help reposition IHS for growth by clarifying its story, modernizing its identity, and building a platform that could engage new audiences, donors, scholars, and partners.

We led a full transformation, strategic discovery, audience research, brand positioning, messaging, visual identity refinement, a new digital experience, interactive brand guidelines in Corebook, and the launch of companion platform Liberalism.org. The result was a sharper, more modern institution built to match the ambition of Vision 2030: clearer messaging, stronger fundraising tools, scalable systems, and a public presence that finally reflected the influence IHS had already earned.
